SCOTT E. PHILLIPS, PE, CFI, VP

Mr. Phillips is a NYS licensed professional engineer and IAAI-CFI, with an extensive background in testing and troubleshooting. Mr. Phillips has been investigating insurance losses for Forensic & Failure Analysis since July 2013.Mr.

Phillips’ wide-ranging background includes design of automated test stands for international and US DOD military products, gas system characterization and testing, designing and constructing high voltage isolation interface circuitry for fuel cell stack impedance measurements, design of high-pressure fluid systems, vacuum coating systems and material tests for electrical insulation/continuity.

Mr. Phillips has also been involved in creating reference standards, research and development, and international training in failure analysis of system level defects for consumer products on a multinational joint development program with a manufacturer in southeast Asia.

Mr. Phillips has led teams in design, prototype development, quality control, testing and operating cost analysis on a variety of technology development programs and authored (co-authored) three US patents.

Mr. Phillips is an International Association of Arson Investigators Certified Fire Investigator (IAAI-CFI), he has presented in the area of fire investigation and completed the 40 hour courses in Origin and Cause Determination and Fire Behavior and Arson Awareness at the NYS Fire Academy in Montour Falls, NY. He is a Board Member with the International Association of Arson Investigators, New York State Chapter 23.

As an Eagle Scout, Mr. Phillips continues his pledge of giving back to his community. He has volunteered since 2003 as a FIRST Robotics mentor, teaching high school students about engineering and science.
