SCOTT MOLL

Mr. Moll is a forensic mechanical engineering consultant for Forensic & Failure Analysis. He is a Hardware Engineering Manager at Lockheed Martin.

He is a proven leader in the automotive, power generation, aerospace, and defense industries. He is accomplished at working with the customer and possess strong theoretical knowledge and diverse practical skills with expertise in engineering, project management and quality. He is a specialist in product failure analysis and investigations.

At Lockheed he manages a staff of 18 in the design, test, production of torpedoes, submarine communications, and fuze products for the U.S. military. Mr. Moll holds a USDOD secret clearance level.

Mr. Moll worked for Young and Franklin Tactair Fluid Controls as an Engineering and Quality Manager. He managed engineering design and quality for aerospace fluid control products and sister company of power generation utilities fluid controls with a staff of 20 including 2 supervisors. He was responsible for all sustainment engineering, all quality and aspects of new product design along with direct customer contact for all company quality topics.

He led cross functional team to determine root cause of top customer product failure, implemented solution and achieved 12% EBITDA improvement. He led all engineering investigations for commercial customers, military, FAA and NTSB.

As the Sustaining Engineering Manager, he was responsible for current production aerospace hydraulic components. He managed design, qualify and launched new products, implemented existing product changes, where he trouble shot and solved product assembly and test issues for a broad portfolio of low production products.

Mr. Moll worked for Magna Powertrain New Venture Gear Division in multiple engineering management and design rolls. He served as department staff manager for engineering services groups including Computer Aided Analysis group, Design Services group, Test and Development Laboratory, and Prototype group that included 29 personnel with a 36,000 sq. ft. lab with 20 test stands, 4 A/C motor dynamometers, 9 vehicle lifts, and 50 vehicle test fleet.

In his role as an engineering manager, he led three product engineering groups which designed, developed and launched 4WD/AWD components for domestic and international customers.

Mr. Moll holds a BS in mechanical engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology. He was awarded two US Patents. He is versed in machining, plating, metal forming, and materials.

In his spare time, he enjoys automotive restoration.
