Sean Darmento

Mr. Darmento is a Forensic Electrical Consultant with Forensic & Failure Analysis. Mr. Darmento is an
EIT in the state of New York with over 12 years of experience in the field. Mr. Darmento has a deep knowledge of instrumentation design, integration, and troubleshooting for process control including hazardous areas (NFPA Class 1 & 2), industrial power distribution design, commissioning of medium and low voltage power distribution systems, and failure analysis of a wide variety of interdisciplinary systems.

Mr. Darmento conducts site examinations for multi-party joint investigations. He performs destructive and non-destructive testing and analysis of electrical systems and components, generates fire scene documentation and diagrams, including detailed cause analysis and provides data for origin opinion.

At RESA Power, Mr. Darmento provides electrical project management leadership for power distribution design, process analysis, controls design, drafting, equipment procurement, construction workforce management, and project management. He develops and provides training materials for customers and is a site safety manager for field operations. Mr. Darmento is known as the expert to call to for troubleshooting of power systems, instrumentation, control systems, and variable speed drives in
production facilities.

Mr. Darmento has lead teams in replacement of a 1.2 mile 15kv underground power feed, installation of 400 horsepower centrifugal blowers at a waste treatment plant, design and installation of three malt storage silos for a beverage manufacturer, as well as the repair and recommissioning of numerous other pieces industrial equipment for process and production clients.

Mr. Darmento earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Technology from Rochester Institute of Technology. He continues his education with courses in engineering, industrial controls, and safety.

Mr. Darmento gives back to the community by working with the advisory board for the Syracuse City Schools Electrical Trades Advisory Council at the Public Service Leadership Academy (formerly Fowler High).
